My station is located in my home office and is highly computer integrated because of my profession. It was designed to be cheap and simple using minimal gear and an old PC. Whenever possible I use free software to keep costs down. I am most often on PSK31 or SSB on 20m because of Antenna restrictions that limit me to a 20m Dipole in a horizontal L configuration only 10′ above the ground.
For HF my main rig is a Yeasu FT-897D with a SignaLink USB Interface, for software I use FLdigi, ACLog, and the free versions of Ham Radio Deluxe. Other Software I use includes APRIS32, N3FJP contest logging software, Orbitron, GPredict, and Chirp.
